The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce is trying to put together a list of activities for young people to eliminate that, "there's nothing to do," syndrome.
"We know that there are recreational and other activities that go on and we want to make those opportunities available for parents and young people," said Roy Madden, chamber executive director. "Each year we get requests for this kind of information and we want to serve as a clearinghouse for the public."
Any organization planning a youth oriented event is urged to contact the Chamber at 918-652-3331. "In turn the Chamber will consolidate the information and have it available for public. The information will be posted on the website: www.henryetta.org and on our Facebook pages."
Madden said any brochures or printed material can be dropped off at the chamber office at 415 West Main.
Information sought includes:
Program sponsor, event/targeted age group, location, dates, who to contact, phone number, any fees being charged, a brief description of the event. That information can also be emailed to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
